My Belinda
archive collection has been built up over many years. I have a huge debt
to pay to my sister, without whom I would not have even half of what I have in
terms of magazine articles, interviews, adverts and Belinda pictures - many of
which I have yet to see turn up on the internet. My sister was an avid
reader of teen magazines, such as Smash Hits, and before she destroyed the
magazines forever in a massive recycling effort, I managed to salvage anything
and everything related to Belinda from them.
Even putting
these images up on my website would not be possible without my trusty little scanner, and a
little bit of post image processing prior to my final site design. It is for this
reason that every part of my Belinda site, whether its...
A - Belinda pictures
and related images
B - Belinda magazine interviews, articles and lyrics
C - Belinda related adverts
Are all based on materials that I
actually have in my possession. Not one single item on my Belinda pages
has
been ripped or altered from any other web sites. It is for this reason I will
be proud on the final outcome of my site, no matter how it looks.
All of the following pictures,
when clicked on will download a larger version.
Hi! Magazine (140Kb)
Here's a great
Belinda portrait picture from Hi! Magazine - a teen magazine that was around
during the late 1980's.
Hi! Magazine (111Kb)
I absolutely love this image... again, from Hi! Magazine, this is a
very natural looking pose featuring Belinda. The picture features
Belinda on the deck of a yacht,
and although it's a total guess, this might have been taken from somewhere
off the south coast of France - where Belinda now lives.
Hi! Magazine (170Kb)
This lovely picture was an
absolute horror to scan in, as it's an A3 sized picture culled from Hi!
Magazine scanned in using my A4 sized scanner. Considering everything, this looks ok. If you look, you can
see the joins where I had to scan the pictures in separately, and then
stitched them together using my dodgy skills in Photoshop. I apologise
in advance for the poor looking quality of the image - this is due to the
picture being printed on really thin paper.
Hi! Magazine (224Kb)
This is such a sexy and
seductive picture! Again, this was cobbled together from two separate
A4 scans, as this is another A3 picture spread. Like the previous picture, this
isn't of great quality, as the original was printed on paper so
microscopically thin, I'm amazed that it's survived intact for this long.
Smash Hits (291Kb)
This high-school looking photo
portrait was part of the Smash Hits interview - Is Belinda Carlisle A Fruitcake.
The actual interview itself can be found and downloaded from the Interviews
section of the site.
Visage Magazine (228Kb)
The
first image of Belinda from Visage Magazine. I have no idea when this
photo shot might have been done, but it might have been sometime between the
Live Your Life Be Free and Real album releases.
Visage Magazine (314Kb)
The second image from Visage Magazine.
Visage Magazine (245Kb)
Out of all the Visage Magazine
pictures, this is my favourite by a mile! The picture is,
unfortunately cropped at the bottom because the other side of the image
contains the Belinda interview from the same magazine.
Hand-drawn image (75Kb)
My sister has given me
permission to have this hand drawn image made by her to be on show for the
world. This is a drawing from one of the images from the Live Your
Life Be Free CD booklet, drawn in 1992.
