My Angel Goddess... a person who helped me get started more than I could ever say[Home]   [Images]   [Interviews]   [Lyrics]   [Adverts]

Below are all of my Belinda related adverts that I've kept over the years.  These range from album and singles adverts to postcards and fanzines.

For some reason, I don't appear to have anywhere near as many Belinda adverts, compared to the other Belinda items that I have (other than my Belinda lyrics).  Personally, I'd blame the archiver... so, that'll be me then!

Overall, the adverts show a complete contrast.  From the absolutely beautiful, to the generically thrown together designs, each have their own qualities to put across their messages.

Certainly, I have always loved the entire advertising styling of Belinda during her Live Your Life Be Free periods.  There's just something about that retro styling that makes Belinda so irresistible!

The back of the postcard for A Woman & A Man.The front of the postcard for A Woman & A Man. A Woman & A Man postcard (75Kb & 97Kb respectively)
This is the rear and front sides of the A Woman & A Man postcard that I have, with a classic Belinda pose from the album!
This is the front cover of (the last?) Belinda Carlisle Experience fanzine. Belinda Carlisle Experience fanzine (145Kb)
I was once in the UK Belinda Carlisle fan club, and this is the front cover of (the last issue?) of the fanzine that was released.  I got this in around the year 1992 or so...
Advert for the Best Of Belinda Volume 1. Best Of Belinda Volume 1 (105Kb)
Here is Belinda advertising her first compilation.  A little confession here - I don't own this album, and to be honest, I probably never will, as I already have all the songs (although that didn't stop me from buying her more recent Greatest Hits CD though!).

I've had to touch this advert up quite a bit as I've had this for a really long time, and it's got damaged over the years.

Advert for Do You Feel Like I Feel? Do You Feel Like I Feel? (230Kb)
This is a great advertising style - a small thin strip (also see Half The World), with a distinctive design.  In fact, I love all of the design styles from Belinda over her Live Your Life Be Free period.
Advert for Half The World. Half The World (185Kb)
Following on from Do You Feel Like I Feel? this is a similarly styled offering.
Advert for La Luna. La Luna (194Kb)
This advert looks amazing!  This is a full page advert with Belinda looking stunning from her Runaway Horses period.
Advert for Little Black Book. Little Black Book (151Kb)
This Our Price subsidised advert shows a rather spartan looking image, whereas...
Advert for Live Your Life Be Free. Live Your Life Be Free (231Kb)
...This HMV subsidised advert is positively flowing with style and exuberance.
Advert for One By One. One By One (59Kb)
A strange one this...  I remember receiving this post card out of the blue one day.  I hadn't until very recently heard this song - which sounds great, by the way.
Advert for Real. Real (123Kb)
Here is Belinda looking so natural, advertising her Real album.  I seem to remember that this advert wasn't from a music magazine, but from Visage, a fashion magazine around at the time.
Advert for Summer Rain. Summer Rain (168Kb)
Finally, here is the classic shot from Belinda's Summer Rain single.  Again, this image has had to be touched up a little to remove a few crease marks on here.
